Here’s a food truck/trailer that’s a little different from the average Florida food truck. Usually you’ll see a BBQ food truck by being in the south, maybe a Spanish style or Caribbean food truck. This one is a hot dog trailer. Not like the Nathan’s hot dog carts you see up north, but it gives that feel with a twist. It’s also a proud small business food truck ran by military veteran and culinary arts graduate, Dona Blanca.
Vikings Gourmet Hot Dogs and More is no slouch when they say gourmet. These are the hot dogs you see on TV that you dream of having, no lie! They specialize in hot dogs while also serving belly busting burgers giving you a mouth full in every bite! On the “Valhalla Menu” for hot dogs they offer: The Original, The Easy Dog, The Caribbean, The B.B.Q., Spicy Cabbage and Bacon Ranch. They even have a build-your-own hot dog with a crazy list of toppings. For burgers, they offer their signature burger and the cheeseburger.
I had the Caribbean hot dog, which you can get 1 for $6.75 and 2 for $10. The Caribbean is topped with cooked and seasoned ground beef and onions, sauerkraut, potato stix, melted cheddar cheese, ketchup and mustard. The meat seems seasoned to give more of a Caribbean taste to it. I also added jalapeños for some spice, but overall, it’s probably one of the most flavorful hot dogs I’ve ever had. Plus, a small bag of chips and a can soda for the combo.The signature burger looks and tastes like the burger I’ve always wanted. The patty seasoned and cooked to a juicy medium well burger. I don’t know how many pounds the patty was but I was definitely full! The burger stood tall with condiments like bacon, cheese, onion, lettuce, tomato, potato stix and pink sauce.
